Hello, I am Lynette. My passion is teaching people about their bodies and helping them find solutions to the problems they are experiencing.
I fell in love with massage as a Medic in the Air Force providing circulatory massage and joint mobilization for bed-ridden patients. Many years later I had the opportunity to become a Massage Therapist. I took every class offered at my school.
I worked as a contractor for chiropractors, while also providing spa services. In this span of time I certified nationally in massage and bodywork.
I hold the highest massage certification in the US- Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (BCTMB). I have over 20 years of Bodywork and Massage experience helping clients find relief from movement issues, chronic pain, headaches, accidents, stress, tension, muscle pain and more.
In addition to my massage journey, I discovered how little people know about their bodies. This lead me on a great adventure in education. I chose to follow my passion for teaching about the human frame and its contents, right into the high school classroom! I have been a science teacher for over 13 years. During this season I have learned a great deal about the brain and nervous system and its functions and dysfunctions, including the effects in the classroom and on student growth. The Focus System was suggested to me by a friend and counselor, who has been working with students for many years and seen the amazing results.
After teaching during and post COVID, I see a major need for nervous system regulation and recovery in order to realize more academic gains. High schoolers are experiencing very high levels of anxiety like I have not seen before in my years in the classroom. Since my passion is to teach about the body and bring solutions, I received my certifications for the Focus System and the Safe and Sound Protocol through Unyte, to provide even more solutions for all my clients, young and mature.
I hope to have the opportunity to serve you on your journey to improved balance and well-being in your body and life.
